How to Donate to ASA: There are many ways to give to ASA, and all donations are tax-deductible due to our federal 501(c)(3) not for profit status. ASA is actively seeking contributions to fund our growth and philanthropic efforts. We appreciate all acts of generosity. Gratefully, we have learned that most athletes have a desire to assist in nurturing our cause, and share in the excitement our services are creating for challenged athletes. To simplify the generous act of giving, we have created the following list to provide guidance and direction for those interested in contributing. Please select which ever venues work for you, become a member of Team ASA, and share in our excitement of giving challenged athletes the opportunity to experience the thrill of competition and become an integral player on a winning team!!
Become an ASA Mentor: One of our basic services is to foster a mentoring relationship between an adult (disabled or non-disabled) and a disabled youth that focuses on preparing for and competing in endurance events such as running and triathlon's. This incredibly rewarding experience involves a committment of time and energy for all parties. All approved mentors will be honored for life on our ASA website. For more information on becoming a mentor please contact us at info@athletesservingathletes.org
Race for Team ASA: We are aggressively recruiting athletes to help us raise awareness and funds by competing for Team ASA in any events by wearing our jerseys and uniforms. Team ASA athletes compete for themselves in their sport of choice. Custom uniforms and pledge programs will be provided by ASA. This is an exciting way to compete for a "greater cause". We are working on our 2009 schedule currently and will be targeting high profile running and triathlon events. Team ASA will also be sponsoring several social events and group training sessions throughout the year. Any level of experience welcome from first time 5k runner to seasoned IronMan triathletes. For more information on racing for Team ASA or to order custom Team ASA apparel please contact us at info@athletesservingathletes.org
Fundraise: We are open to ideas and individual efforts intended to secure charitable donations. Please contact us if you would like to offer fund raising assistance of any kind at info@athletesservingathletes.org
ASA Event Volunteer: Every successful event requires considerable time, effort, expense and multiple hands in order to deliver the quality experience we strive to create for our athletes. Volunteers nuture endorsement of activities, and are critical to the healthy development of any extended philanthropic endeavor. To become an ASA volunteer please contact us at info@athletesservingathletes.org
Individual Financial Contributions: Individuals from all walks of life have experienced the "THRILL" of competition, and most would agree the sheer act and involvement encourages a more fulfilling state of mind and health. Giving less-fortunate athletes an opportunity to enjoy the same is now as easy. All ASA charitable proceeds go to good cause, and any amount helps to realize our initiatives. To see a breakdown of our budgetary practice and need for funding please contact us at info@athletesservingathletes.org To make a monetary contribution to ASA see PayPal link on bottom of this page.
Planned Giving: ASA has engaged willing financial and legal professionals (ASA Members themselves) to assist individual and corporate donors interested in pledging charitable funds using sophisticated planned giving instruments. We will arrange for qualifying donors to discuss strategies applicable to your preffered instrument. Please contact us to inquire about how we may help you help ASA with a planned giving arrangement.
Corporate Sponsorship: ASA recognizes the community interests of ongoing business entities, and the positive public exposure benefits corporations stand to gain by endorsing charitable organizations with common interests. We believe ASA offers an exceptional opportunity for like-minded corporations to enjoy the initiative and the positive exposure and philanthropic value of ASA sponsorship. Our sponsors will receive prime exposure, heightened awareness, and an unusually captive audience during all sponsored events. Media coverage continues to grow with each event and initiative. Please contact us to discuss upcoming opportunities at info@athletesservingathletes.org
Donation of Company Services: The success of ASA has been made possible to date, in large part, by company entities voluntarily donating their company time and services at no cost to ASA. This form of philanthropy is a choice of many, further strengthens our pool of volunteers, and has proven an integral contributor to our success. Donated services have helped us fulfill many aspects of our efforts, from legal to event day activities, and we are open to embracing this form of charity. ASA welcomes any and all support and suggestions. Please contact us at info@athletesservingathletes.org
Team ASA appreciates your support! With our growing family of donors, Team ASA will continue to embrace and build upon the opportunity to provide a source through which anyone can contribute and enhance the lives of challenged athletes.
