I discovered ASA 10 years ago while running the Baltimore Running Festival. I saw Dave pushing an athlete and had a conversation with him and thanked him for pushing to me the finish. I ran into Dave a few months later while running with RASAC. That same year, Charm City Run in Bel Air posted a need for runners to help with an organization for the Harrisburg Marathon. I remember driving to Harrisburg thinking, what have I gotten myself into!!. At that time, I did not make the connection that this was ASA until I got to the race. Shane was my athlete for the first leg and once done with that leg, I was hooked. I've competed in several races from 5K's to multisport races within ASA.
My favorite race is doubt the Harrisburg Marathon. However, I feel very privileged to run any race with ASA even when it means getting up at 3am to catch a bus for a race! I work full-time as a Systems Analyst, have 2 grown children, 3 grandchildren, am a certified Yoga instructor, a certified paddle Yoga instructor, and a running Coach (5k through half marathon) for Charm City Run in Bel Air.
