Stephanie turned to running after playing soccer through her childhood and into college, but felt there was something missing when running alone. After seeing Team James compete in the 2011 Columbia Triathlon and the ecstatic smile on James’ face, Stephanie knew that ASA was the missing piece. She ran the Hope’s Heroes 5K that same year and ran her first race as a wingman at the 2013 Irongirl Half Marathon.
Since then she has always been hooked on the feeling of accomplishment that comes from racing and wants to share that with others (especially ASA’s amazing athletes!). Of the trail, Stephanie wears many “nonprofit hats” working as an Executive Assistant to the President at the Community Action Council of Howard County as well serves as the Board Vice Chair at Girls on the Run of Central Maryland.
