Her inspiration to start running came from her sister-in-law, who picked it up as a way to help her through chemotherapy. When she and her husband went to cheer on their favorite cancer survivor at the 2012 Half/Full marathon for the Ulman Cancer Fund, they saw Team Shane blazing through and she knew one day she wanted to do that too.
One of Christina’s favorite memories with ASA was the Glow in the Park run in Harrisburg where she and her husband ran with Team Kyle. Kyle ended up covered in bubbles from surrounding supporters and started laughing so hard that Christina pulled the jogger over to make sure he was breathing ok - which caused Kyle to smile and laugh even harder from scaring her!
Off the course, Christina works as a Research and Development Technician for Conductive Technologies assisting in their new and existing product development projects for their biomedical products.
